Lily Kingston
As a production designer, I enjoy the challenge of transforming script ideas into physical environments that reflect a character’s inner world. My creative process draws on visual research, colour theory, and practical problem-solving to achieve cohesive, story-driven designs.
My recent projects include Fish Out of Water (dir. Aya Mizukami), a surreal short film exploring creative paralysis, and Simmer (dir. Molly Clarke), a character-driven drama about rediscovering passion. Both projects allowed me to explore how design choices influence emotion, pacing, and atmosphere.
I’m particularly inspired by tactile design elements, subtle contrasts between order and chaos, and how small details can carry emotional weight on screen.
